Dr. Dana Stern, a board certified dermatologist, and a member of The Council for Nail Disorders, specializes in the treatment of nail disorders including nail infections, inflammatory disease of the nail, cosmetic issues related to nail disease, cancers of the nail unit, and surgical nail procedures including biopsies and excisions of the nail unit.Dr. Stern has lectured on the topic of nails at the annual Council for Nail Disorders meeting, the American Academy of Dermatology, and she has given grand rounds lectures at several hospitals.  Dr. Stern was nominated to the nail team of Faculty of 1000, an international faculty of experts who are highly respected in their chosen fields and nominated to the Faculty of 1000 by their peers.

Dr. Stern has extensive research and clinical experience treating nail disease and has numerous publications.  Her research on brittle nails has appeared as a cover article in the Journal of The American Academy of Dermatology.  She also studied the ability of ultraviolet light to penetrate human fingernails.  This research was accepted for publication by The Archives of Dermatology.  Dr. Stern has been interviewed about nail care and nail cosmetics in Allure, Natural Health, Woman’s World, Women’s Health, Oprah.com and WebMD.
