Broken blood vessels are cosmetically unsightly lesions that occur in the skin. Causes include a family history, sun damage, smoking and hormonal changes from pregnancy and birth control pills. The most effective and safest treatment for removing unwanted blood vessels are lasers. Lasers work by firing a short intense burst of natural light that selectively heats and destroys the vessels. The surrounding tissue is left alone. The procedure is done in our office, without anesthesia and patients are able to resume normal activities right after the procedures. The vast majority of patients have substantial clearing of their vessels with 1-2 treatments.
