Oral minoxidil, an oral anti hypertension medication, has been a successful new option for treating hair loss for women and men. Most patients tolerate the medication well. 
 
Millions of patients are on oral anti hypertensive medications for high blood pressure. This study explores whether or not it is safe for patients on medications for high blood pressure to give oral minoxidil for their hair loss.
Their conclusion is - it is safe.
