Finasteride can be an effective medication for hair loss in men. As with all medications, side effects can occur. This study raises an increased risk of suicide or psychiatric potential side effects in young men with hair loss taking finasteride. There is no definitive conclusion but it does raise concerns that clearly need to be further investigated to prove if this study is correct or not.
