Minoxidil toxicity and household pets

Minoxidil has a long-term record of safety and efficacy for treating hair loss in women and men.  Recently, it has been shown to be effective both topically and orally.

However, Minoxidil can be toxic to dogs and cats, even in small quantities, it can cause a dangerous drop in your pet's blood pressure.  So be sure to keep it away from your dogs and cats, and like all medication, only the person prescribed should use the medication.
